Elizabeth Kennedy is currently Corporate Counsel of The Royal Women's Hospital and the Royal Children's Hospital. Prior to this, Elizabeth was Corporate Counsel at Southern Health for three and a half years and before that, corporate solicitor to the Australian Medical Association of Victoria.
Elizabeth specialises in health and medical law and deals on a daily basis with a wide range of issues facing health professionals and hospitals. She is Honorary Solicitor, and a member of, the Complaints Committee and Chair of the Appeals Committee, of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, and member of the Board of Directorsof the Victorian Cytology Service and Alzhaimer's Australia. She sits as the laywer on Panels formed by the Medical Practitioners Board of Victoria to inquire into the professional conduct of doctors.
