Biography

Matt is a Senior Lecturer and researcher within the Caulfield School of Information Technology.

His research interests lay in two primary areas: Educational Technology and Information Visualisation. Matt investigates the use of emergent technologies for education, in particular with regard to the learning challenges faced by novice programming students. This was the topic of his PhD thesis, which was completed in 2010. He also works in the area of information visualisation and interaction, primarily in the Emergency Management context.

Matt's teaching areas include programming, game development, emergent technologies, and information visualisation.
