Biography

Dr Tom Chandler is a lecturer in the Faculty of Information Technology at Monash University. Beginning with an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts and Archaeology, Tom later worked overseas for 7 years in the Interactive Design industry before returning to academia at Monash. As well as coordinating the Monash Country Lines Archive Project with the Monash Indigenous Studies Centre, Tom is also involved in a number of other 3D visualisation projects at Monash, including the medieval city of Angkor, Roman Egypt (Dahkleh Oasis) and Kashgar on the Silk Road.
