Amany works in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing & Health Sciences at Monash University as a Research Fellow.
In 2002, Amany completed her PhD in the Department of Physiology, her PhD examined the role of the renal nerves on vascular remodelling in the kidneys of spontaneously hypertensive rats. After a short time away, and a stint at MISCL, she is currently employed as a Research Officer in the Department of Physiology where her main research focus is 'Kidney oxygenation in acute ischemia-reperfusion injury' and 'Cellular hypoxia and hypoxia signalling in polycystic kidney disease: contribution of oxidative stress'.
