Biography

Julia works in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing & Health Sciences at Monash University as a Lecturer.

Julia Morphet joined Monash University’s School of Nursing and Midwifery in 2010.  Julia has extensive emergency nursing experience, and continues to practice in the ED. Julia is the Education Coordinator for the Victorian branch of the College of Emergency Nursing Australasia (CENA). She is currently undertaking a PhD examining the cost and effect of transition to specialty practice programs throughout Australian EDs.

Other recent research projects include an examination of the violence in ED, the ED management of acute stroke, and the mental health client ED journey.

Julia is currently supervising five Master of Nursing research students, who are each undertaking projects in the ED.
