Biography

Andrea has over 25 years experience as a Dietitian and has worked in a variety of fields including clinical and community settings and within both public and private health care settings.She began her career in rural Victoria and has maintained an interest in the issues facing rural health practitioners, in particular the workforce issues of recruitment and retention. Her career in both the clinical and community settings has focussed on aged care along the spectrum from healthy ageing in the community, to treatment in the acute and sub acute setting and optimising nutritional care in the residential care setting.

In the past 10 years at Monash University she has been invovled in both the teaching of undergraduate students and the development of curriculum for new units and new courses.
