Biography

I work in the School of Applied Sciences & Engineering at Monash Gippsland, as a lecturer and researcher. My research is focussed on understanding the interactions between host parasites at the molecular level, in particular Giardia.  I am also engaged in microbial community dynamics research using molecular techniques to understand the complex interplay of microbial species in varied environments. This work is applied to the anaerobic digestion of dairy waste and algae, as well as the investigation of microbial community succession in biocomposting industrial solids.
