Biography

Marian Crawford has exhibited her work since 1990, and her most recent solo exhibitions include earthlings, shown at artist-run space Techno Park Studios, Williamstown, Victoria in 2012, regeneration, an exhibition with Rebecca Mayo, Project Space, RMIT University, Melbourne in 2010. Carry that weight was shown at the University of Western England, Bristol, UK (as part of Impact 6 Printmedia conference) and beam me up held at Techno Park Studios, Williamstown, Victoria in 2009.

Recent group exhibitions include Lessons in History Vol. II – Democracy, grahame galleries + editions, Brisbane, Queensland; Contemporary Australian Drawing 2: Drawing as notation, text and discovery, University of the Arts, London UK, curated Dr Irene Barberis in 2012; and Carbon copy, with Ros Atkins and Susan Purdy, shown at IMPACT7 International Interdisciplinary Printmedia Conference, Monash Caulfield; the 2011 Swan Hill Prints & Drawing Acquisitive Awards, Swan Hill Regional Gallery, Victoria, and the Burnie Print Prize 2011, Burnie Regional Gallery, Tasmania, in 2011.

Marian Crawford was Convener of IMPACT7, a biannual international interdisciplinary printmaking conference, which was held at Monash Caulfield in September 2011. She has a Bachelor of Arts (Melbourne University), a Bachelor of Fine Art (Victorian College of the Arts) and a Master of Arts (by Research), from RMIT University, Melbourne.
