Biography

Professor Jennifer Hoy is the Director of the Victorian HIV Service, Infectious Diseases Unit, The Alfred Hospital. She maintains her research interests in HIV, and its complications including cardiovascular disease and bone disease, in the setting of a significant administrative and clinical load. She has current NIH and NHMRC funding to investigate the effects of HIV and antiretroviral treatment on bone disease, and co-chairs the Bone Mineral Density substudy of the International START study. She is involved in many collaborative research projects in cardiovascular disease and HIV with the Burnet Institute and several investigators in the Baker IDI. She has been a member of the Australian Antiretroviral Guidelines Panel since its inception.
