Biography

Belinda is a Research Fellow with over ten years research experience at the Monash University Accident Research Centre (MUARC). She has an Honours degree in Psychology from LaTrobe University. Her research experience includes playground safety, injury surveillance, novice drivers and motorcyclists. She specialises in illegal driving behaviours such as: drink driving, driving while disqualified, and “hooning”. During her time at MUARC Belinda has been involved in numerous research programs resulting in a substantial range of research experience including: conducting extensive literature reviews and evaluations, data analysis and interpretation, survey design, face-to-face interviewing, facilitation of focus groups, and project management. As a result of her experiences in conducting contract research, developing recommendations for government policy and legislation, and collaborating with industry partners, Belinda is skilled in producing relevant and practical research outcomes. Belinda is a current member of the Monash University Human Research Ethics Committee (MUHREC).
