Biography

Lingfei works in the Faculty of Engineering at Monash University as a Research Fellow.

The research interests of Dr Cao include phase transformations, alloy design, microstructural characterization, and thermal dynamics of nano-sized materials. In the past years, Dr Cao has worked on Shape Memory Alloys, nanocrystalline soft magnetic materials, magnetic fluids, and the development of advanced Al-Mg-Si (-Cu) alloy technology for automotive body panels. Her current research project is on Ti alloy development.
