Biography

Shane works in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing & Health Sciences at Monash University as an Associate Professor. He completed a PhD in pharmacology at Monash University in 1988. The thesis topic was the development of brain lateralisation.

Shane has a track record of published journal articles in the area of pharmacology education of health professionals. He has co-authored textbooks in pharmacology and pathophysiology for health professionals. 

Other current research interests focus on medical education, in the areas of evaluation, assessment and student selection.
