Biography

Elisabeth has been employed at Monash University since 2008 and works in the School of Nursing and Midwifery Gippsland, as a Lecturer. She is currently responsible for running the satellite registered nursing program at the East Gippsland Regional Clinical School at Bairnsdale. Prior to commencing at Monash Elisabeth worked for over 20 years in the nursing workforce in positions such as Nurse Unit Manager (medical ward), PostGraduate Educator (Intensive Care) and Graduate Nurse Coordinator. She has a keen interest in the changes in the Australian nursing workforce and is currently completing her PhD in the similarities and differences in the education and graduate roles of registered and enrolled nurses. She is also interested in research in the areas of interprofessional practice, clinical placement, social inclusion, rural practice and skill development.
