Abe Herzberg is a senior lecturer in the Department of Business Law and Taxation.
Abe researches and teaches in the area of company law, corporate insolvency law and corporate governance.
He has published numerous journal articles, book chapters and conference presentations, and is the co-author of the corporate law textbook, Understanding Company Law, the 16th edition, which was published in 2012. One of Abe’s co-authored conference papers was awarded the best paper prize at the 2009 Corporate Law Teachers Association annual conference.
Abe has an interest in the integration of internet resources into teaching corporate law and has co-produced an innovative corporate law website that has twice won the tertiary websites category in the Excellence in Education Publishing Awards. In 2007, he received the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching.
His research and supervision interests include corporate law, particularly directors’ duties, corporate insolvency law and corporate governance.
