Biography

David Elder is a Specialist Occupational Physician who also works in private practice. His interests include the rehabilitation of injured workers; chronic pain; assessment of chemically exposed workers and medicolegal assessments. He is Co-Coordinator with Dr David Goddard of 3rd year medical student teaching in Occupational Medicine, and lectures in postgraduate courses in the Masters of Public Health program. His research involves surveillance of occupational respiratory disease. In 1997 he was awarded the Deane Southgate Award by the Australasian Faculty of Occupational Medicine as the Dux exam candidate. He is also Medical Director of one of the VWA/TAC Network Pain Clinics.
