Dr Dianne Sheppard - Researcher Profile

Biography

Field of expertise includes higher order cognitive domains such as attentional control, selective attention, and inhibition. My research has involved designing and implementing sensitive experimental measures that detect subtle behavioural differences in different aspects of cognition. These tasks have been employed to explore the developmental trajectory of these higher order cognitive functions in children and adolescents, and also to explore anomalies in these aspects of cognition in various developmental and other clinical groups.
