Biography

Dr Walter works as a  Research Fellow in the Ritchie Centre, Monash Institute of Medical Research, Faculty of Medicine, Nursing & Health Sciences at Monash University. Dr Walter's research is in paediatric sleep medicine.

Dr Walter's main field of research involves how sleep disordered breathing affects the cardiorespiratory system in children. She is currently co-ordinating two research studies. The first study is investigating the effect of treatment, on a cohort of children diagnosed with sleep disordered breathing, three years following treatment. The second study is evaluating an alternative to overnight polysomnography for children with suspected sleep disordered breathing.
