Ross works in the Faculty of Art Design & Architecture at Monash University as a Lecturer.
Having previously worked with Iredale Pedersen Hook Architects in both Perth and Melbourne over an 8 year period, Ross has since carried out a range of architectural projects under rba/u, a collaborative design-led practice based in Melbourne. In 2007, Ross completed a Master of Architecture by research degree at RMIT through the Urban Architecture Laboratory. One of the projects undertaken as part of this research was awarded a 2008 Architecture Australia Prize for Unbuilt Work. The research has a strong focus on social and environmental sustainability, an ongoing concern in his developing research led practice and teaching. Ross assisted in research and taught at several tertiary institutions including RMIT and Curtin before becoming a foundation staff member in the new Monash architecture department in 2008. He has exhibited at a number of art and architecture exhibitions and is a founding member of Dear Patti Smith, an artist run initiative and gallery space in Fitzroy.
