Meredith works in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing & Health Sciences at Monash University as a Senior Lecturer.
Meredith McIntyre is a midwife academic with extensive experience as a classroom teacher and in curriculum development. Recent research publications in national and international journals has involved the critical analysis of the Australian maternity care reforms, measurement of clinical competence in midwifery education, obesity in pregnancy and behavioural change and obesity outcomes in pregnancy. Meredith is a reviewer for a number of high impact international journals and is steering committee member of the AHSC Women’s, Children’s and Reproductive Health” theme. Meredith represents the Australian College of Midwifery as a Director on the Victorian Board having previously served as President and Vice President.
