Biography

James Ang joined the Department of Economics in 2007. His primary research field is economic development, technological change, and growth. Specifically, his work has concentrated on the following areas: 1) early historical development and current economic performance, 2) financial development, liberalization and growth, and 3) empirical tests of endogenous growth models. His work has appeared in a wide range of general interest and field journals, including Review of Economics and Statistics, European Economic Review, Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Economic Growth, Canadian Journal of Economics, and Journal of International Money and Finance.
