Dr Nell Kimberley is an Associate Dean (Learning and Teaching) in the Faculty of Business and Economics and is responsible for the portfolios of teaching development, teaching and learning quality, and innovation.
Along with her consulting experience, Nell has a long history of teaching excellence and educational leadership. Her teaching experience is diverse, spanning the fields of organisation behaviour, general management, communication, and organisational change development at both graduate and undergraduate levels.
Since 2010, Nell has worked as learning and teaching advisor to the faculty, focusing on a range of current faculty initiatives, including the development and implementation of two discipline-specific units for the Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice, the Teaching Associates Induction Program, the Faculty Assessment Forum, the Peer Assisted Study Scheme (PASS) and Assurance of Learning. She also represents the faculty at university level on relevant learning and teaching-related committees.
In recognition of her teaching expertise, Nell was granted a Dean’s Award for Teaching Excellence in 2004, a Vice-Chancellor’s Distinguished Teaching Award in 2005, the Carrick Award for Outstanding Contribution to Teaching and Learning in 2006, and in 2007 she was awarded the ANZAM Management Educator of the Year.
Nell’s research interests include education, organisational culture, justice, organisational learning, leadership and change management.
