Biography

Basia joined the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine in 2006.
She holds a Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Hons) from Monash University and is in the final stages of completing her Ph D, which aims at improving the care and management of community-based patients being treated with warfarin by indentifying risk factors that contribute to warfarin instability. Basia has a particular interest in medication safety through the identification of adverse events both at an individual and system level.
Basia is also a passionate lecturer and enjoys her teaching role. She is currently a unit coordinator within the Bachelor of Health Sciences and Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Monash University. Basia has helped develop and run her 3 units and now  teaches anatomy, disease and epidemiology.
