Megan is a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Safety, Compensation and Recovery Research (ISCRR), where she manages the Compensation Research Database (CRD). http://www.iscrr.com.au/research/research-programs/compensation-research-database.aspx
Megan has a background in health services research with interests that focus on the use of administrative datasets, clinical registries and data linkage to evaluate care and measure health outcomes. In addition to her role at ISCRR, she is also undertaking work focussed on evaluating the quality and cost-effectiveness of orthopaedic care. Her research has been published in national and international peer-reviewed journals, including the Medical Journal of Australia, BMC Health Services Research and the Journal of Critical Care.
From 2007 to 2011, Megan undertook a PhD within the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine at Monash University, which investigated the use of clinical and administrative data to measure and improve healthcare quality in intensive care. Megan completed a Masters of Public Health in the Epidemiology & Biostatistics concentration at the University of Melbourne in 2006 and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Stanford University in California in 1999. She has also been employed as a researcher at the Victorian State Coroner’s office and the Monash University Accident Research Centre.
