Funding and support

If you’re a current Monash student or staff member you can use the research intranet to connect with leading researchers, support services, funding opportunities and much more.

Monash Research Office

The Monash Research Office provides advice and assistance on postdoctoral grant, fellowship and award applications, and acts as the principal point of contact between grant applicants, grantees and funding agencies.

Talent enhancement

The Monash research community recognises excellence and impact with talent enhancement programs. Our programs include:

Monash Researcher Accelerator program (MRA)

The MRA program aims to recognise, reward and accelerate the career development of our highest performing early to mid-career researchers. Two cohorts of Level B and C staff, in 2010 and 2012, have been awarded MRA grants including a personal financial reward, and funds to support their research.

Monash Professorial Fellowships program (MPF)

The MPF program is designed to support faculties in attracting senior global research leaders of the highest calibre, who can provide research leadership in alignment with our strategic priorities, to come to Monash. The program awards faculties with a flexible two-year package of support.

Larkins Fellowship program

Named after Monash’s former Vice-Chancellor, Professor Richard Larkins AO, the Larkins Fellowship program supports research excellence at the faculty level with a flexible, three-year award package. The package is designed to help attract internationally competitive early to mid-career researchers who will become the next generation researching in alignment with Monash’s strategic priorities.
