Exempt Dealings

Is my proposal exempt? 
Part 1, Schedule 2 for descriptions of Exempt Dealings. 

Dealings assessed over time as posing negligible risk as outlined in Schedule 2, Part 1.  Examples include:

  1. Genetically modified Caenorhabditis elegans (both knockouts and transgenic).
  2. Dealings involving an Exempt Host/vector system and producing less than 10 Litres of culture.
  3. Dealings with an animal into which genetically modified somatic cells have been introduced.
  4. Dealings involving shot gun cloning, or the preparation of a cDNA library in Exempt Host/vector .
  5. Exempt dealings must be contained within a facility and must not involve release of the organism into the environment. 
  6. Transport of GMOs between various facilities at the University or to other destinations must comply with the Transport guidelines.
