The aerospace industry is rapidly expanding around the world. In Australia, the growing sector is primarily concentrated in Victoria and benefits from proximity to Monash University's extensive aeronautical expertise.

Our researchers recognise that industry leaders are seeking to design, test and manufacture lightweight aircraft and other aerospace products as quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively as possible – and they are helping them do it. As a leader in innovative techniques to optimise aircraft structures and aerodynamic efficiency, and to manufacture structural components with significantly reduced material wastage, Monash University is playing a key role in the evolution and revolution of the aerospace industry.
