Capacity Building Grants in Population Health Research

Scheme Aim and Objectives

The scheme will operate on a similar basis to previous rounds. Specific funding will be set aside within the funding scheme’s allocation for Health Services Research.

The scheme will primarily provide support to (a) develop capacity within teams of researchers by bringing in new expertise and (b) increase workforce capacity by developing less experienced researchers to become research leaders (new independent researchers). It will be flexible to encourage the development of approaches to building capacity that best meet the needs of different teams.

Submission Requirements

• Applicants are required to submit an electronic version of the application form formatted in accordance with the instructions outlined in Appendix 1 in the ‘Advice and Instructions to Applicants’ document.
