The Linkage Projects scheme supports collaborative research and development projects between higher education organisations and other organisations, including within industry, to enable the application of advanced knowledge to problems.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN:

Discuss all aspects of the Proposal with your prospective Partner Organisation/s including the requirement to enter into a Research Agreement if the Proposal is successul.

HOW TO APPLY: Step by step instructions

1. Obtain a copy of the key ARC information documents

Funding Rules, Instructions to Applicants and Funding Agreement

2. Keep up to date with Research Office information sessions and updates

3. Read the ARC rules and instructions

It is critical that you read through the Funding Rules and Instructions to Applicants to understand the application process and requirements.

4. Getting started in GAMS

If you do not have a GAMS ID and password, complete the request for GAMS User Account: Request for GAMS User Accounts

Once you have logged on, remember to update your personal details if necessary: Access GAMS

5. Complete the application form in GAMS

Please ensure you consult the Monash tip sheets and other resources when completing the application.

6. Validate and submit the form in GAMS

Complete the validation check of the application form. Once the form has been validated successfully, click on the ‘locally submit’ button and print a copy of the application.

7. Print remaining parts of the proposal

Print the additional text and supporting documentation and insert the pages into the correct place in the application form.

8. Complete the ARC Certification Proforma

Obtain original signatures and submit one copy of the certification to the Research Office with your draft application.

Note: You do NOT need to obtain a signature from the DVC(R). The Research Office will arrange for this.

9. Complete the Research Office coversheet

Complete the Research Office Coversheet form. External applicants may download the pdf version. The form must be printed, signed by the relevant Head of School and Associate Dean (Research), and attached to your draft application.

10. Submit one full copy of the application to the Research Office by 28 April 2008 (Round 1)

  1. One copy of the application for review
  2. Signed ARC Certification Proforma
  3. Completed and signed Research Office cover sheet

11. Final Submission

Following the review of your application, you will be asked to provide the Research Office with two single-sided copies and 2 double-sided copies of your final application. Please ensure the application is numbered and the total number of pages inserted where indicated on page one.

If you wish to request the exclusion of particular individuals as assessors of your Proposal you must complete and submit a Request Not to Assess form.
