The MSA Cooperative Bookshop is a student enterprise, established in 1976 to ensure that books and stationery are available to students at the best possible price. It is located at the western end of the Clayton Campus Centre, and buys and sells second-hand text and general books, stationery, art supplies, calculators, and technical equipment for engineering students. Life membership costs $10, plus a joining fee of $3.30. The membership fee is refundable at any time and is payable only once.
The co-op is open to all students, staff and the public, but members receive a 15 per cent discount on all their stationery purchases (including calculators), and a preferential discount on the sale of used books. The Monash University Gippsland Student Union hosts a site for selling and buying second hand textbooks. For details visit http://www.mugsu.monash.edu.au/books The site can be accessed by students and members of the public. MUGSU offers a second hand book stall on campus at the start of semester. It's also a good idea to keep an eye out for the Monash Parkville Student Association (MPSA) second hand book sale and on the notice boards for students trying to sell their old textbooks. Some Pharmacy books are also available at the MPSA office.

Legibook is the registered business name of the Monash Law Book Cooperative Ltd, a company which occupies room G21 in the basement of the Law School on Clayton campus. Its purpose is to provide law texts, statutes and materials as cheaply as possible. There is a one-off initial membership cost, but members are entitled to a discount off the usual retail price of texts and AGPS statutes. EFTPOS facilities are available.
