This section outlines important dates of which you must be aware. Consider highlighting those dates which apply to you for easy reference. The principal dates also include University holidays for the various campuses.

19 Mon	Supplementary and special (deferred) examinations commence.

9 Mon	Summer semester examinations commence.

12 Thurs	Summer semester examinations end.
13 Fri	Semester one fees due. Students who have not received their ‘Enrolment details and fee statement' should contact their faculty to check their enrolment status. Last day to add semester one or full-year off-campus learning units.
15 Sun	Census date for teaching periods: term 1 (T1-57) and trimester 1 (T1-58).
16 Mon - 18 Wed	Registration for international students.
19 Thurs	Enrolment of first-year undergraduate students (VTAC) - third round (all campuses).
23 Mon - 27 Fri	Orientation at all Australian campuses - dates and times will vary from campus to campus.
March
02 Mon	Semester one teaching period commences.
05 Thurs	Release of summer results.
13 Fri	Last day to add semester one or full-year on-campus units.
31 Tues	Census date for teaching periods: semester one (S1-01) and semester one (extended) (S1-32). Last day to discontinue semester one units without ‘withdrawn’ showing on academic record. Last day to discontinue semester one units without incurring fees relevant for semester one. Last day to discontinue full-year units without ‘withdrawn’ showing on academic record.
April
10 Fri	Good Friday (University closed). Mid-semester vacation begins.
13 Mon	Easter Monday (University closed).
14 Tues	Easter Tuesday (University closed).
17 Fri	Last day of mid-semester vacation.
16 Thurs - 28 Tues	Semester one ‘Commonwealth assistance notice' being forwarded to Commonwealth-supported and/or FEE-HELP students. Disputes must be lodged within 14 days from the date of notice.
25 Sat	Anzac Day (University closed).
27 Mon	Semester one exam timetable published.
30 Thurs	Census date for teaching periods: full-year (FY-01), full-year - extended (FY-32) and term 2 (T2-57). Last day to discontinue full-year units without incurring fees.
May
3 Sun	Last day for discontinuation of semester one units with ‘withdrawn’ showing on academic record. Semester one units discontinued after this date will show as ‘fail’.
27 Wed	Semester two ‘Enrolment details and fee statement’ published on the Web Enrolment System (WES).
June
05 Fri	Last day for discontinuation of semester one units with 'withdrawn fail' showing on academic record. Semester one units cannot be discontinued after this date. Semester one ends.
08 Mon - 10 Wed	Swot Vac.
11 Thurs	Semester one examination period begins.
30 Tues	Last day for submission of applications to graduate in semester two. Census date for teaching periods: trimester 2 (T2-58) and winter (WS-01).
July
03 Fri	Semester one examination period ends.
	Last day to add semester two off-campus learning units without risk of late enrolment penalty.
06 Mon	Mid-year enrolments begin. Registration for international students commences.
10 Fri	Registration for international students concludes.
	Mid-year enrolments end. Semester two fees due. Students who have not received their ‘Enrolment details and fee statement' should contact their faculty to check their enrolment status.
13 Mon - 17 Fri	Mid-year Orientation.
17 Fri	Semester one results released.
20 Mon	Semester two teaching period commences.

August
01 Sat	Coursework scholarship applications open.
02 Sun	Last day to discontinue full-year units with ‘withdrawn’ showing on academic record. Full-year units discontinued after this date will show as ‘fail’.
17 Mon	Last day to discontinue semester two units without ‘withdrawn’ on academic record. Supplementary and special (deferred) examinations commence.
21 Fri	Supplementary and special (deferred) examinations conclude.
31 Mon	Last day to discontinue semester two units without incurring fees. Census date for teaching periods: semester two (S2-01), semester two - extended (S2-32) and term 3 (T3-57).

31 Sat	Last day for submission of applications for postgraduate research scholarships. Census date for teaching period: term 4 (T4-57). Coursework scholarship applications for 2009 close.

10 Tue	Final date for submission of supporting documentation for coursework scholarship applications.
20 Fri	Semester two examination period ends.
30 Mon	Last day for submission of applications to graduate in semester one 2010. Census date for teaching period: summer A (SSA-02).
