14 Wed Semester one 'Enrolment details and fee advice' despatched to all enrolled students.

19 Mon Supplementary and special (deferred) examinations commence.
Enrolment of postgraduate students begins.

23 Fri Supplementary and special (deferred) examinations conclude.

26 Mon Australia Day (university closed).

27 Tues Enrolment of first-year undergraduates (VTAC) - first round begins.

30 Fri Enrolment of first-year undergraduates (VTAC) - first round ends.

February

12 Thurs - 13 Fri Enrolment of first-year undergraduates (VTAC) - second round.

13 Fri Semester one fees due. Students who have not received their 'Enrolment details and fee advice' should contact their faculty to check their enrolment status. Last day to add semester one or full-year off-campus learning units without risk of $70 late enrolment penalty.

20 Fri Enrolment of first-year undergraduates (VTAC) - third round (all campuses).

23 Mon Orientation begins at Berwick, Clayton and Parkville campuses.

24 Tues Orientation begins at Gippsland campus.

25 Wed Orientation begins at Caulfield and Peninsula campuses.

28 Sat - 29 Sun First weekend school for semester one (Gippsland campus).

March

01 Mon Semester one teaching period commences.

12 Fri Last day to add semester one or full-year on-campus units without risk of $70 late enrolment penalty.

17 Wed Semester one 'Enrolment statement' issued to all students.

22 Mon Student Survival Week commences (Aust. campuses only)

31 Wed Semester one HECS census date. Last day to discontinue semester one or full-year units without 'discontinued' showing on academic record. Last day to discontinue semester one or full-year units without incurring HECS or full-fees relevant for semester one. Last day to discontinue all studies by candidates enrolled in coursework programs and in single units to qualify for a full refund of the student course fee relevant to semester one. Last day to qualify for a 100 per cent refund of student amenities fee relevant to semester one.

April

Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences

The dates of semesters and terms for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery 2004 are as follows:

First year

Students will follow the normal university calendar.
