Attendance component of assessment

Attendance requirements may form a part of your overall assessment for a unit or the requiremetns of your course. Refer to the course and unit requirements in the relevant Handbook.

Specific faculty rules

Victorian College of Pharmacy students

Every student is required to attend all lectures and practical work in each unit in order to satisfactorily complete any year of the course. Written reasons for any absence must be forwarded to the student services counter together with supporting documentation (eg a medical certificate) within 48 hours of any absence. A collection of previously unseen medical certificates provided at the end of an academic year to support absence will not be satisfactory. In most units, failure to attend 80 per cent of practical classes in any unit (without documentation to support the absence) will normally preclude the student entry to the examinations in that unit. Note that there are slightly different attendance requirements in each unit, and students are expected to familiarise themselves with the specific unit information via the my.monash portal.
