Since its first student intake nearly four decades ago, the Monash University community has grown to embrace people from all walks of life and from many countries.
Monash staff and students have gone on to make their mark as doctors, researchers, teachers, journalists, business people, activists and political advisers, enriching their communities through the Monash creeds of equity, social justice, innovation and academic excellence.
The approaching millennium is an ideal time to review Monash’s achievements and to contemplate its place in a fast-changing world.
To celebrate this special time in history, Monash Magazine has organised a photographic competition open to any entry with a Monash link.
The aim is to highlight how a member of the Monash community, be it a staff member, student, or graduate, or a Monash-inspired project or innovation, has helped to make a difference in your community.
The winner of Monash: Making a difference will receive a digital camera up to the value of $1000.
For full details and entry conditions, phone +61-3-9905 5329, fax +61-3-9905 2097, email monashmag@adm.monash.edu.au or write to the Monash: Making a difference Photo Competition, Public Affairs, Monash University, Wellington Road, Clayton, Victoria, 3800, Australia.
Entries close on Friday, 4 February 2000, with the winner to be announced in the Autumn/Winter 2000 issue of Monash Magazine.
