Lynna Chandra (BEc 1991) recently founded a pediatric hospice in Jakarta, Indonesia. Rachel House provides a safe haven for children with a terminal illness and their families.

Neil Thomas (PhD 1991) is currently writing a book about new aspects of history and folklore.

After 37 years with the Australian Navy, Raydon Gates AO CSM RANR (MBA 1991) has been appointed CEO of independent think-tank The Kokoda Foundation.

Claire Bussutil Bridge (BA(FineArt) 1992) was a finalist in last year's Doug Moran National Portrait Prize. She is also an artist-in-residence at Maroondah Art Gallery in Victoria.

Hari Iyer (GradDipAcc 1992) has been appointed as a director within the IT Audit department of UK accountancy firm Mazars.

Alicia Teska (MBBS 1993) has been appointed to the board of the Australasian Society of Cosmetic Medicine.

Glen King (BBus(Bkg&Fin) 1993) was recently promoted to the position of studio operations manager for Nine Network Australia.

Anthony Forsyth (LLB(Hons) 1993, BJuris 1993) was recently appointed as an associate professor in the Department of Business Law and Taxation at Monash.

Tilak Dissanayake (MBBS 1994) practises medicine in rural NSW and was recently elected as a local councillor.

Originally from Kenya, Malobi Sinha (nee Banerjee) (BE 1996) is a senior software engineer in Victoria and is also working on her first collection of poetry.

Primary school art teacher Madeleine Stamer (nee Seidel) (BA(CeramicDes) 1996) has given birth to her second child and has recently illustrated a children's book for the National Gallery of Victoria.

Andrew Lane (BBus(Mktg) 1997) is head of the online division at mobile phone retailer Crazy John's.

As a designer at Rubik Financial Limited, John Raciti (BA(Craft) 1997) develops prototypes for banking software that are used on devices like mobile phones and computer screens. He was also recently bestowed a Knighthood of the Military and Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem in Malta.

Melanie Benson (MBBS 1997) and Jane Munro (MBBS 1996, MPH 2006) recently completed National Institute of Clinical Studies (NICS) Fellowships. Dr Benson's project focused on improving the management of cancer pain. Dr Munro's research aimed to improve procedural pain management in children and adolescents within a tertiary pediatric hospital.

Nathan Parker (BA 1998, LLB(Hons) 1988) has been named international counsel at law firm Debevoise & Plimpton LLP.


Director of Methodist Ladies' College Libraries Jane Viner (MIMS 1999) received two major librarianship awards in 2008. These include a service award from the International Association of School Librarianship and the John Ward Award from the School Library Association of Victoria.

Teacher Rorie Jackson (BA(Hons) 1999) is head of history at the British International School in Kyiv, Ukraine.
