50 years at Monash University

Two symbols of Monash University: This bronze portrait bust of Sir John Monash was cast by Paul Montford in 1938. It is pictured in front of the Sir Lindesay Clark window located in the Robert Blackwood Hall, Clayton campus. The window was designed and created by Leonard French and named in honour of the Australian industrialist and Monash University benefactor Sir Lindesay Clark.


Foundation years

Monash University was created by an act of State Parliament in 1958.

Monash University's mechanical and aerospace engineers have joined Australia's Olympic gold medal campaign.
