Star performer in the super sector

In October 2002, Andrew Mohl (BEc(Hons) 1977) was appointed managing director and CEO of AMP Limited, Australia's largest superannuation manager.

Mr Mohl has held a variety of roles within the finance industry since graduating from Monash University in 1976.

He began his career at the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) where he worked from 1978-1986, during which time he was seconded to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (1983 to 1984). His roles at the RBA included senior economist and deputy head of research.

In 1986, Mr Mohl joined ANZ Banking Group where his roles included senior economist, group chief economist, divisional chief manager, ANZ retail banking and managing director, ANZ Funds Management.

Mr Mohl joined AMP in 1996 as general manager, retail distribution, AMP Financial Services. He subsequently became managing director of AMP Asset Management and managing director, AMP Financial Services before being appointed as the company's CEO.
