Monash Alumni Association Inc.

The Monash Alumni Association Inc. complements the university's alumni relations program by providing benefits to its members via three programs: Professional program - includes mentoring, business briefings, forums, career and professional development, and full access to the Victorian Club (at Rialto). Community program - membership fees help support alumni as community leaders. Alumni can also access Community Development Grants to support volunteering in the community and participate in networking opportunities including Christmas drinks, the Chancellor's Cup golf day at Kingston Heath and the Monash race day at Caulfield racecourse. Lifestyle program - offers a specially designed package including participation in the Monash Alumni Wine Club, as well as discounts on accommodation, travel and entertainment. MBA

Network, the Monash MBA Alumni Association, is being revitalised with a range of new member services including networking and professional development, directories and e-newsletters. Marketing

The Monash Marketing Alumni Association has been keeping its members informed about current marketing trends for 30 years. Singapore

The Monash University Alumni Association Singapore (MUAAS) held its annual dinner/dance on 31 August. Mr Teo Ming Kian (BE 1975), chairman of the Singapore Economic Development Board, was guest of honour. The dinner was preceded by the association's AGM, at which Dr Lim Shun Ping (MB BS w/hons 1970, PhD Med 1982) was elected president, taking over from Barathan Kumaran (BA 1996), who remains on the committee. Hong Kong

A charity walk to raise money for the Fu Hong Society, which aims to fulfil the potential of people with a disability, is just one of the recent events run by the Monash University Hong Kong Alumni Association. To develop new networks and friendships, contact sarah@itcareer.com.

Korea

The Monash Korea Club runs an annual reunion for Monash alumni in Korea each November and maintains a Korean language website with a message board directory of alumni. See http://monash.alumni.or.kr/.
