SynopsisThe role of the health psychologist within acute and chronic health care settings will be outlined in this unit. The areas that will be examined include the psychological treatment of a range of health problems; the psychological impact of illness and subsequent adjustment issues; dying, death and bereavement, and the role of support networks in health and illness.
