Synopsis
Concepts and techniques of business strategy formulation, and how management accounting information systems act as a corporate control system providing information for strategic decisions.
Outcomes
The learning goals associated with this unit are to:
- illustrate how management accounting systems can be designed to support strategy
- apply management accounting techniques to strategic business decisions
- critically assess strategic management accounting concepts and techniques
- analyse and make recommendations regarding the design of strategic management accounting systems
- apply critical thinking, problem solving and presentation skills to individual and/or group activities dealing with strategic management accounting issues and demonstrate in an individual summative assessment task the acquisition of a comprehensive understanding of the topics covered by AFF3511.
