Student governanceThe Student Council at the Caulfield campus is a democratically elected body that represent student interests in all facets of the University and general community. Elected MONSU Caulfield student representatives sit on MONSU boards and committees that serve the interests of students on the Caulfield campus, including the following: Activities committee - organises social events, such as orientation, Sexual Awareness Week, and the Caulfield contingent of the National Band Competition to name a few. Education committee - comprised of representatives from each faculty. The committees focus on education issues that students will face in their studies. Welfare committee - comprised of representatives from across all faculties and years and focuses on issues affecting the wellbeing of students around campus. The welfare committee is also responsible for activities to boost the campus community. Overseas Student Service (OSS)The OSS has been established at MONSU Caulfield to represent the interests of international students. The OSS is governed by elected representatives, and runs a number of social and support functions, in particular Multicultural Week in semester two. Student publications`Esperanto' is the student magazine published during semester. Contact the editors of the magazines via the service desks at MONSU Caulfield if you would are interested in contributing to the student magazine or e-mail them at Esperanto@monsucaulfield.org.au. `Watzon' is a weekly news sheet featuring MONSU Caulfield and other general campus events. MONSU Caulfield Service DeskThe MONSU Caulfield service desk is the hub of MONSU Caulfield's operations, and our friendly service staff can help you with any queries or problems. Services provided at the service desk include photocopying, passport photos, transparencies, colour copying, phone cards, spiral binding, faxes, laminating, poster printing, pick-up service, bike locker hire and board game hire. Volunteering and involvementMONSU Caulfield actively encourages the support of volunteers to help deliver many of its programs. Training programs for volunteers are held regularly throughout the year. The focus of this training is not just to encourage your involvement on campus, but also to provide you with skills that will prove valuable in any future workplace.
