Lost property

If the owner of a lost item can be identified, contact is made by telephone or letter, but the onus is on the you to contact the University if you have lost something. Monash University is not liable for loss of, or damage to, the property of students on campus, and private property is not covered by University insurance. Lost property items are normally held for two months. Suitable unclaimed items are donated to appropriate charity organisations.

Lost property can be handed into, and collected from the following locations:

• Berwick - building A/901, ground floor, reception desk
• Caulfield - building A, Student Service Centre, or building S, to the MONSU Caulfield service desk
• Clayton - Campus centre (building 10), Student Service Centre (items handed into the information desk will be kept for six weeks, and clothing for four weeks)
• Gippsland - building 2E, Boardwalk, Facilities and Services
• Parkville - Soissons building, ground floor, Student Services Centre
• Peninsula - building C, ground floor
• South Africa - lost property is handed into the campus reception desk and kept in the Student Services Centre for two months
• Sunway - Student Services Department, located on the second floor, building 2 (items will be kept for six months).

Locker hire

You can inquire at the Monash Sport service desk about available lockers if you are using the sporting facilities.

Clayton

At the Clayton campus, lockers are located in the basement of building 11 (Menzies building). They can be hired from March to November for a small non-refundable fee. Students must supply their own lock. Contact the inquiries booth, ground floor (west), Menzies building, Clayton campus.

Gippsland

Lockers are available for hire through MUGZOO Central. The lockers are located in the 1E corridor. Enquire at MUGZOO or telephone +61 3 5122 6220.
