Academic transcriptsIf you require a formal transcript of your academic record at any time during the course of your studies, you should visit the Student Service Centre. Alternatively, you may submit a request online at https://my.monash.edu.au/wes, by fax or by telephone specifying your full name, date of birth, years of study, course details and student identification (ID) number. There is a fee, and payment must be made in advance. The transcript shows all your results, both numerical marks and grades, and, where applicable, exemptions and credits. You may also request an academic record for a specific course/s. Where a partial record is issued, a message will appear to advise the reader that the academic record is for a specified course/s only. Subject to certification of course completion by the relevant faculty, every effort is made to issue academic records within 48 hours of a request being received. Those students with access to the WES system may also download an unofficial academic record at https://my.monash.edu.au/wes. A free copy of your academic record is provided with your testamur when you graduate. GPA (Grade Point Average) and WAM (Weighted Average Mark)The University will apply the Grade Point Average (GPA) and Weighted Average Mark (WAM) on academic transcripts, unofficial academic transcripts via WES and study statements from 2008. Figures will be printed to two decimal places. GPA and WAM will only apply to students who commenced a course of study in 2008 and will not apply to students who commenced a course of study prior to 2008 as this will enable:
Students wanting to calculate their own GPA and WAM can do so manually using the formulas described at http://adm.monash.edu.au/service-centre/gpa-wam.html Information about GPA and WAM is also available via ask.monash via https://my.monash.edu.au. |
