Goods and services tax (GST)

Students at Australian campuses

Goods and services for which no GST is charged include:

  • most courses offered by the University other than recreational and hobby courses
  • basic health services offered through student services
  • some course materials sold via the Monash-owned bookshops
  • student accommodation at the Halls of Residence or at Monash-owned residential properties
  • basic food items sold by retail outlets.
