Getting course advice

All students have access to faculty staff for advice on course requirements, unit selection and other academic matters. Staff in the faculty that manages your course are responsible for providing advice on course requirements. The specific course requirements that you must satisfy to graduate from your course are set out in the relevant University Handbook.

Student advisers

At any time during your course you can seek the advice of staff within the University. The academic staff whose classes you attend and, if necessary, the head of the department can assist you with academic matters. Course advisers in the faculty that manages your course can be consulted on the selection of units, changes of course, or on matters relevant to your academic progress in your course. Some faculties have staff who specifically help international students, or students with a disability etc.

Advisers can also provide information on other student services such as health, housing or counselling, which may provide the help you require. The sooner you seek help, the easier it will be to resolve any difficulties or improve your situation.
