Student feedback - evaluations and surveys

Each semester, you will be asked to fill out teaching and other evaluation questionnaires. The idea behind these evaluations is to obtain feedback from you on matters that will affect you and to help the University improve its courses and services. All the feedback you give is anonymous and cannot be traced back to you. However, it is important that you fill out the questionnaires carefully and thoughtfully. The surveys you are most likely to encounter are:

  • MonQueST, which looks at particular approaches to teaching
  • unit evaluations, which consider the design and delivery of your units
  • Monash Experience Questionnaire (MEQ), which is an evaluation of your overall experience at Monash
  • surveys of services such as the library, Information Technology etc
  • Australian Graduate Survey, incorporating the Course Experience Questionnaire (CEQ) and the Graduate Destination Survey (GDS), sent out to you approximately six months after you complete your course in order to gain an overall evaluation of your Monash course and experience after leaving Monash
  • higher degree by research student surveys on the quality of supervision and departmental research facilities.
