Honours - Area of Study Finance - Honours

To complete the finance major in the Honours degree of Bachelor of Commerce, students must complete:

(a.) Semester one

(i.) two compulsory units (12 points):

• AFX4000 Research methods
• AFX4010 Research design and analysis

(ii.) two of the following units (12 points):

• AFX4030 Advanced modelling in finance
• AFX4060 Issues in corporate finance
• AFX4080 Issues in banking

(b.) semester two

(i.) research dissertation (18 points)

• AFX4018 Research dissertation

(ii.) one honours unit (6 points) subject to the following conditions:

• any honours unit offered by the Faculty of Business and Economics.

Students must have their enrolment approved by the head, or nominee of the Department of Accounting and Finance.
