Victorian College of Pharmacy regulations
Regulations made pursuant to Statute 2.14 - Victorian College of Pharmacy
1. The college is divided into departments as follows:
- Department of Medicinal Chemistry;
- Department of Pharmaceutics;
- Department of Pharmacy Practice;
- Department of Pharmaceutical Biology and Pharmacology.
2. The members of the college board shall be:
2.1 the chancellor;
2.2 the deputy chancellors;
2.3 the vice-chancellor and president;
2.4 the dean and director of the college;
2.5 the head of each school and department of the college;
2.6 each professor of the college who is not the head of a department;
2.7 one representative of the full-time teaching staff of the rank
of assistant lecturer or above from each department elected in department
constituencies from amongst their members;
2.8 a nominee of the university librarian;
2.9 the dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences
or the dean's nominee;
2.10 the dean of the Faculty of Science or the dean's nominee;
2.11 two members appointed by the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia
(Victorian Branch) Ltd who shall be pharmacists registered to practice
in Victoria;
2.12 one member appointed by the Pharmacy board of Victoria;
2.13 two members appointed by the Society for Hospital Pharmacists;
2.14 one undergraduate student member nominated by the college board;
2.15 one postgraduate student member nominated by the college board;
2.16 three members nominated by the college board;
2.17 one representative of the full-time general staff elected from
among their members.
2.18 each associate dean of the college if not otherwise a member of
the board.
3. At the request of a person who became a student of Monash pursuant
to section 7(1) of the Monash University (Pharmacy College) Act
1992,
the Council may confer on that person subject to and in accordance
with the statutes and regulations an award under a name that indicates
the title of the award and the words 'Victorian College of Pharmacy'.
