Synopsis

The clinical project in wound management consolidates the theoretical and practical skills acquired in the Graduate Diploma in Wound Care by exploring in detail a complex client issue within the candidate's workplace or a health care setting. The clinical project is not intended to be an original piece of research. Each student is expected to negotiate their topic in consultation with their lecturer.

Outcomes

At the completion of this subject the participant will be able to:

  • Develop a project proposal for a wound-related issue.
  • Write a project proposal and submit an ethics proposal.
  • Determine correct methodology and analysis for a project.
  • Present a project proposal to a panel.

Assessment

Written presentation of project proposal: 45% (hurdle)
Oral presentation of project proposal: 45% (hurdle)
Monash supervisor mark: 10%
