Synopsis
This unit examines the origin, nature and operation of Asian legal systems. A general overview of these systems, including sources of law and legal institutions, is followed by a closer examination of the legal system of at least one Asian country. Objectives
On completion of this unit, students should have:
AssessmentExamination 1.5 hours (plus 30 minutes reading and noting time) 50%; research paper (4000 words) 50% OR examination 3 hours (plus 30 minutes reading and noting time) 90% PrerequisitesLAW1100 OR LAW1101 and LAW1102 or LAW1104; LAW2100 or LAW2101 and LAW2102; LAW3300 or LAW3301 and LAW3302 |
