Synopsis

Recent international trends in the education of children with special needs are to include them with their non-disabled counterparts in care and educational settings. In line with this trend, this unit will cover issues such as why inclusion is the best option and how we can successfully include students with a range of abilities in educational settings. The unit also examines the role of family in designing and implementing inclusive educational programs.
